hello all, and welcome to our new substack. here we’ll be posting music, news, art, interests and thoughts, but most importantly - upcoming band related announcements you might like to know about like new music and tour dates ;)

on march 2nd 2025, purity ring welcomed the arrival of Another Eternity’s Decennial Occurrence. ten years ago, we recorded our second studio album all over north america: in our hometown of edmonton, montreal, new york, LA, and san antonio. we had left alberta for the first time to tour shrines, and we had a thirst in our bellies. we wanted our sound to be bigger, more emotional, glittering and futuristic. mj was turning many new leaves in her life, bringing a new directness to her unique sense of lyricism and songwriting. corin was immersed in contemporary music, refocusing his textured approach on melody and song structure, adding his sense of the fantastical. it was mixed by jaycen joshua, who added his unmistakeable depth and thump, and remains the only purity ring work to not be mixed by corin. this album opened many strange new doors for us, led to some of our best shows, and contains some of our favorite songs. it made us realize that we always want to make music, and that often the best is yet to come. we are grateful to have it in our lives and to celebrate the AEDO with you this year.
